Session III – Building a Formal Compensation Program
Pay transparency has been a hot topic of late. With new laws taking effect around the country, and workers discussing their pay more openly with one another than they ever have, it’s essential for employers to approach how they pay their workers in a thoughtful and structured manner. OMNI is proud to debut this three-part series for decision-makers on compensation. Participants will meet via Zoom on three consecutive Wednesdays (January 11th, 18th, and 25th) to gain information and valuable insights from OMNI Senior Consultant and Compensation Practice Leader Jon Binder. Because each session will build upon the previous one, participants must attend all three sessions.
In Session III, we’ll identify and discuss:
- What is a compensation philosophy?
- Development of a compensation philosophy.
- Pay program tactics (career hierarchy, pay ranges, variable pay).
- Common challenges in building a formal compensation program.
- Viewing the process as a journey.
