“Escalating Pay Rates, Pay Transparency, and Compensation Structure: A Series for Decision-Makers – Session I”

Session I – Discussing the Basics and the Current Landscape
Pay transparency has been a hot topic of late. With new laws taking effect around the country, and workers discussing their pay more openly with one another than they ever have, it’s essential for employers to approach how they pay their workers in a thoughtful and structured manner. OMNI is proud to debut this three-part series for decision-makers on compensation. Participants will meet via Zoom on three consecutive Wednesdays (January 11th, 18th, and 25th) to gain information and valuable insights from OMNI Senior Consultant and Compensation Practice Leader Jon Binder. Because each session will build upon the previous one, participants must attend all three sessions.
In Session I, we’ll identify and discuss:
- Address key concepts to build on in series.
- Foundational elements of base pay (hourly, salary, piece-rate).
- Foundational elements of variable pay (bonus, sales comp) & measuring performance/results.
- Foundational elements of long-term compensation.
- The Fair Labor Standards Act.
Membership & Outsourcing client decision-makers may participate in this series at no cost.
